Film Helicopters Australia (FHA) provides production companies with helicopters, as well as a team of highly experienced and motivated helicopter pilots. We are able to perform all the services required to carry out aerial filming and stunts for the film and television industry.

At FHA we operate our own uniquely configured helicopters to service the film and television industry. Through its working relationships, FHA can also provide helicopters in remote locations, assisting in saving the time and costs required in transporting them. It can also secure other types of aircaft needed for on-camera filming, including unusual and older models.

Our pilots have operated a wide range of helicopters, including the latest and most technologically advanced. Through working relationships we have established with helicopter owners around Australia, we have access to other helicopter models, which may be needed for particular filming needs

Advice
When you ask FHA for advice, you deal directly with highly experienced film pilots who understand operational limitations. This is an important consideration given the necessity to quickly relate to scripts and storyboards; and also in providing timely planning advice for the success of proposed shoots.

Budgeting: Through our contacts and our knowledge of the industry, FHA can assist clients by determining realistic aerial budgets, through accurate script and storyboard breakout.

Camera Mounts
As we at FHA don’t own our own camera mounts, we can offer an unreserved and unbiased opinion of the most appropriate film mounts for your proposed shoot. Our pilots have hundreds of hours of flight experience with most production mounts, including the Continental and Tyler mounts, Spacecam, Wescam and FLIR systems.

Approvals and Permits
Our experienced pilots enjoy longstanding working relationships with all regulatory agencies associated with the film and television production industry. Through FHA's parent company G & A Helicopters, FHA enjoys unique operational permits granted by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. Such permits are only issued in recognition of our longstanding safety and operational standards. FHA can obtain specific aerial permits and licenses for filming operations, especially for film shoots over city locations.
